New Google Duo Video Calling App For Android & iOS Released

Google has started rolling out Duo app for Android and iOS devices. Google Duo is 1on1 video calling app.

This is what Google has to say;
"Today, we’re releasing Google Duo — a simple 1-to-1 video calling app available for Android and iOS, Duo takes the complexity out of video calling, so that you can be together in the moment wherever you are."

Google Duo has been designed to work on Edge network (2G) which means you can video call using the app on slow network like 2G. It only requires you to register with your phone number which will allow you to connect with people in your phone's contacts list. The app also packs a feature which will automatically switch between Wi-Fi and data network without interrupting your ongoing video call. Isn't that a welcome development?

That's not all, there is another amazing feature which is called Knock Knock, this feature allows you to see live video of the person calling you before picking the call. i.e; before you pick any call, you will see a video of the person calling you.

Google added that;
"It makes video calling more spontaneous and welcoming,"

Currently, the app is still rolling out and it will be available worldwide soon or later. The app is already on Google playstore. I just checked it out and saw "Coming soon".

You just have to keep checking it out on Playstore. Just search for Google Duo on Google Playstore.
